Mission to the World Committee.
Our MTW Committee coordinates all international mission activities and the annual mission conference. Jesus commands us to go into the world and preach the gospel. Taking the Great Commission seriously has resulted in a growing missions program at Scherer Memorial Presbyterian Church. Using the Faith Promise method of giving, (not a tithe, or a budget, but asking God what He wants us to trust Him for, and then trusting God to provide additional money) the giving for world missions is now well over $100,000.00.

Green Area:
Gary & Lois Watanabe are long term missionaries who have served in Mexico and then the Phillipines. They are now serving through Redeemer Church in New York City. Their ministry now is to reach out to the families and singles in New York City to help them find their home in Christ. Send them an email at missionharry@yahoo.com 
Bill & Sherry Day are currently in Surfside Beach, South Carolina after planting a church in Belize. While in Belize, they received a blessing of being able to adopt four beautiful children. They are now back to their home church, Surfside PCA and are conducting ESL classes for the Hispanics in the community. Praise God that their ministry is going so well! Mark and Dedria Tidwell are with Joseph House Ministries here in Fort Mill, South Carolina. This home serves as transitional housing for MK’s (missionary kids) coming off the field. Orange Area:
Larry and Sandy Rockwell and their two girls are serving in Huaraz Peru. Larry travels to many villages in the mountains with the prayer of planting a church. During their four years in Peru, they have been “given” a child to raise. They are now starting adoption procedures! Visit their blog at andeschasqui.blogspot.com.

John and Cathy Clow and their four children are in Reynosa, Mexico with Isaiah 55 Deaf Ministries. This summer our church will be going to Reynosa to serve on the missions field with them. Visit their blog at theclowcommunicator.typepad.com.

Blue Area:
Tom Jebo and his wife Nancy are missionaries to Hungary but at this time they are on home stay due to Nancy’s cancer. Tom has served for years with United World Missions as a Pastor to Pastor’s in many parts of the world. To find out how Nancy is doing drop them a line at Tomnancyjebo@cs.com.

Yellow Area:
Peter and Diane Bakelaar along with their four children have been serving in Japan as church planters. They are currently on HMA (home missionary assignment) and will be at Scherer on March 18th. In the meantime, if you need to contact them you can do so at PJBAKELAAR@aol.com

Red Area:
Steven & Sarah Young are currently serving in Australia to the Japanese. Anthony has been instrumental in planting a church. Keep them in your prayers as Sarah is still suffering with CFS (chronic fatigue syndrome) Send Sarah a note of encouragement at s3young@optusnet.com.au.net.

Steve and Rita Williams and family are now in New Zealand! They are not only planting a church but starting up Barnabas Zentrum, a ministry to missionaries out on the field.
